Redwood City police said today they’ve arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with a fight at the Wine Bar, 840 Brewster Ave., that left a victim unconscious.

Aldo Medinavalenzuela was arrested Friday when police saw him leaving his residence, police said.

On March 15 at 2:15 a.m., police went to the Wine Bar on a report of a fight. They found the victim unconscious with head injuries.

Witnesses told police he had been assaulted by another group of men who had been drunking in the bar. They said he had been punched and fell to the ground.

While on the ground, the assailants continued to punch and kick the victim, police were told.

The assailants then fled in cars going several different directions, police said.

Police said they reviewed surveillance video from a nearby business, which showed Medinavalenzuela kicking the already unconscious victim in the head before fleeing in a red Chevy Camaro.

Detectives then identified Medinavalenzuela and began conducting surveillance on his residence, police said.

Police said they arrested Medinavalenzuela on Friday when he left his residence in the Camaro. They stopped the Camaro, apprehended him and took him to the San Mateo County jail.

  1. Who has ever heard of a fight at a wine bar? “I say this pinot grigio tastes like dog urine! Want to step outside?”
