Plans have been submitted for three new buildings at the corner of Santa Cruz Ave. and Merrill Street in Menlo Park, located behind McDonald’s and across the street from the British Bankers Club and Cafe Borrone.

The projects are proposed for 1125 Merrill St., 556 Santa Cruz Ave. and 506 Santa Cruz Ave., according to planning applications filed with the city on Thursday.

The projects are proposed by Palo Alto-based Prince Street Partners, who both own and are developing the land, according to Managing Partner Chase Rapp, son of well-known Peninsula developer Roxy Rapp.

The project at 1125 Merrill would be four stories, with the first two floors consisting of office space and the third and fourth floors each housing one apartment.

The project at 506 Santa Cruz would also be four stories, with the first floor being retail space, the second and third floors being office space and the fourth floor would be four apartments.

The third project, at 556 Santa Cruz, would be three stories with the first floor being for retail, the second floor for offices and the third floor having three apartments.

The three projects are still under review by the city Planning Department, according to an application attachment from city Associate Planner Corinna Sandmeier. While there is no planned date for the Planning Commission to review these projects, Sandmeier’s memo notes that the report for the projects may begin to be prepared around Nov. 17.
