Some business owners on streets surrounding Palo Alto’s University Avenue say the city’s decision to close the street for the summer is a bad one.
Rob Fischer, owner of the Palo Alto Creamery at 566 Emerson St., Gravity Wine Bar at 544 Emerson St. and Reposado at 236 Hamilton Ave., said he will circulate a petition this weekend to present to city council protesting the street closure. The program is set to expire in August but Fischer is worried the council will extend it.
