Crave Yoga Celebrating Its First Anniversary

Crave Yoga

Crave Yoga studio in Mountain View is celebrating its one- year anniversary this Saturday and is inviting everyone in the community to come check them out and celebrate with them.

They will be holding an open house this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with three free yoga classes you can sign up to join. There will also be a live DJ, refreshments and membership specials, including membership packages starting as low as $89 a month. The classes are Vinyasa Flow at 9 a.m., Bhakti Flow at 10:15 a.m. and Slow Flow at 11:30 a.m.

Founder Helena McLoughlin, a native of Ireland, started Crave Yoga in December 2021 after 13 years of teaching classes in fitness and yoga in various capacities throughout the Peninsula.

“What an unforgettable year it’s been,” she said. “When I first stepped onto my mat over 20 years ago, I would have never believed I would one day have either the opportunity, or courage, to be able to own and create a space dedicated to this practice. I wanted to build a studio that I would love to go to. I wanted to build a studio that no matter who’s teaching, you feel welcomed and comfortable.”

She said it was a leap of faith to open a new business during the pandemic, and she is “beyond grateful” to everyone who has supported the studio.

And as Crave Yoga’s community has grown over the past

year, so too has the studio’s offerings. They offer a variety of classes, including Vinyasa Flow, Bhakti Flow and Gentle Flow. They also now have Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga classes, and as a way of giving back to the community, they offer free guided meditation and Reiki healing classes on Mondays at 6:45 p.m. – an offering that’s been enthusiastically taken up by many community members. As part of their community focus, they also support The Art of Yoga Project, a nonprofit organization providing tools to Bay Area marginalized youth to relieve stress and promote wellness through yoga, art and mindfulness (www.theartofyogaproject.org).

McLoughlin said that every class at Crave Yoga is mixed- level and open to all from beginners to students with years of experience. Right now, they have several anniversary promotions, including getting two classes for the price of one ($28) and buy three months and get the fourth free. New students can take advantage of an amazing $49 deal that buys two weeks of unlimited yoga classes. It’s the best way to check out all the classes and see what’s right for you.
