City ordered to pay $1.9 million in back wages

The city of Palo Alto is poised to pay certain Utilities Department employees a combined $1.86 million in back wages following a judge’s ruling that the city negotiated in bad faith with the workers’ union.

The City Council is scheduled to vote on the payment on Monday, Feb. 22.

  1. Palo Alto Utilities STILL owes us the refunds from its “over-charges” as per the citizen lawsuit. When are we going to get paid??? It’s been a while since the city attorney started “negotiating” the payments after the they lost the lawsuit. Funny how she can move quickly when she wants.
