The County of Santa Clara Vector Control District will use a helicopter to spray for mosquitoes in the Palo Alto Baylands this morning (March 26).
The district says it will be using an “eco-friendly application” of “naturally-occurring soil bacterium” that prevents mosquito larvae from becoming adults.
The treatment is “short-lived in the environment and not harmful to birds, fish, other insects, wildlife or humans.”
The area to be sprayed is east of Highway 101 between Mayfield Slough and Adobe Creek Loop Trail.
