A 19-year-old Belmont man was wounded in a shooting in front of his home last night, and police are seeking three suspects.
The shooting happened at 4:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of Chula Vista Drive, near Fernwood Way and south of Ralston Avenue.
Police said three young suspects in a dark SUV, with possibly a grey exterior, approached the man in front of his house. One of the three opened fire and struck the victim in the upper body, police said, and all three fled in the SUV. They were last seen headed south on Alameda de las Pulgas toward San Carlos.
Police said the shooting wasn’t at random, suggesting the victim had some sort of relationship with the three.
The victim was rushed to a hospital and his condition was unknown last night.
Police ask that anyone with information give them a call or (650) 595-7400 or leave an anonymous tip at (650) 598-3000.
