Mountain View police are looking for a driver who allegedly fled after crashing his car into a tree, leaving behind an injured passenger.
Police responded to the wreck at East Evelyn Avenue and Kittyhawk Way at about 5:20 a.m. Sunday and found the vehicle with one person stuck inside and another person standing outside of it.
The passenger stuck in the vehicle had their foot pinned down by the damage. They were extricated by firefighters and taken to a hospital.
The person standing outside the vehicle told police they were the owner of the vehicle but someone else was driving. The alleged driver took off running and hasn’t been found. The only description police offered is that the suspected driver was wearing all black.
Anyone with information about the driver or the crash was asked to call police (650) 903-6344.

If someone else was driving the owner of the vehicle would know who it was.
