Motorcyclist going over 100 mph dies on Skyline Blvd.

A motorcyclist was traveling more than 100 mph when he crashed into two other motorcycles on Skyline Boulevard and died this afternoon.

The CHP got a call around 4 p.m. about the crash near Fogarty Winery. A CHP spokesman said the deceased motorcyclist was going 100 mph in an area where visibility was reduced because of fog.

The other two motorcyclists were uninjured, the CHP said. The driver who caused the crash wasn’t traveling with the other two.

Both directions of Skyline (also known as Highway 35) were closed until at least 5:45 p.m.

  1. This is the second motorcyclist fatality within a 5 mile stretch of skyline Boulevard within the last month. I have attended dozens as a first responder to either treat, or pronounce them dead in the last 30 years. They just keep coming and dying. There may be situation where you might be able to save them with the right training. [Portion deleted. Please do not post links.]

  2. This guy is my coworker, when we both left our workplace last Friday (past midnight), he bid goodbye and said “I’ll see you on Monday, bud!” Then, Monday came and I was just shocked when someone told told me that he died of bike accident. He’s a gentle giant, my big brother.

  4. “died doing what he loved”??? Do the individuals who believe this understand that he created the deadly circumstances which could have led to the deaths of others? Is this what he loved doing? Looks like we’ve got several individuals who are contenders for the Darwin Award.
