Officers caught a masked man burglarizing a home in Mountain View after they were called by the homeowners, according to police.
The owners of the home in the 1000 block of Carlos Privada, who were away, reported the burglary after seeing the intruder on their security cameras, according to police. Police arrived around 1:15 a.m. Friday (July 26) and saw a flashlight moving around inside the house, followed by lights being turned on.
A few moments later, Louis Lozano, 21, of Milpitas, walked out of the home’s front door, wearing a mask and gloves, police said.
Lozano saw the police and began to run away, but police arrested him after a short chase.
Lozano had a backpack full of jewelry and electronics from the home, police said.
Lozano got into the home by shattering a back door.
He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and resisting arrest.
Thank goodness for modern technology or he would have gotten away with the burglary, god only knows how many others he has burgled. But good ending to this story
