Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have donated $1 million to the San Mateo County Historical Association to help complete a new rooftop terrace at the San Mateo County History Museum, the association announced Oct. 6.
The 2,897-square-foot terrace will be built as the final phase of the museum’s multiyear expansion, extending from the third-floor event space of the new Taube Family Carriage House and Automobile Gallery, museum officials said.
The space is designed to host community gatherings, civic and business events, celebrations, and private functions. The terrace is expected to open in early 2028.
