Redwood City police are investigating a homicide in which a husband allegedly shot and killed his wife and then turned the gun on himself, police said today (Dec. 8).
Officers were sent to the 1300 block of Seaport Boulevard just past midnight on Sunday after a security guard called to report a suspicious vehicle, according to police.
When they arrived, officers found a man and woman inside the vehicle who were both unconscious and who had both been shot in the head, police said.
The woman died at the scene and the man was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition. ‘
“The preliminary investigation indicates the parties are married and were reportedly experiencing marital difficulties,” police said in a statement. “Evidence at the scene suggests the male shot and killed his wife before attempting to take his own life.
