Police this afternoon asking neighbors within the line of sight of the home near the intersection of Bryant Street and El Carmelo Avenue to leave their homes as they negotiate with a man who is refusing to leave his home.
Police were initially called to the home shortly before 3 p.m. on a report of a disturbance among family members.
Police negotiators have been trying to get the man, who has multiple guns registered to him, to come outside, but so far he has refused.
Police have called for outside assistance from other police agencies, including Sunnyvale.
