Bot attack shuts down Daily Post website

By the Daily Post staff

Somebody programmed hundreds of thousands of bots to visit the Daily Post’s webpage,, early this morning in an attack that appears to be designed to bring down our online presence.

Our webhosting company suspended because it was concerned that the overwhelming number of bot hits would bring down other websites it hosts.

The Post made some software changes to prevent such an attack in the future and is operating once again.

An investigation is underway to determine who was responsible for this attack.
