Five men in the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club were arrested today (Nov. 15) in connection with the murder of one man and the brutal assault of an off-duty police officer at a country music concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre in June, police said.

The murder victim was Juan Rangel Gonzalez, 41, of Bakersfield. He was found unresponsive near a concession stand at 10:45 p.m. on June 18 at a Chris Stapleton concert, and he died of blunt force trauma to the head 11 days later.

Also during the concert that night, an off-duty police officer was “brutally assaulted” by a group of men near a collection of portable restrooms before they walked away from the area, police said.

Detectives found that all parties knew each other and were connected to the Hells Angels, police said.

A five-month investigation ensued, and 14 agencies, including the FBI and ATF,  helped the Mountain Police Department.

Warrants were served at the homes of the suspects and at a Hells Angels clubhouse in San Francisco today.

One of the suspects — Logan Winterton, 37, of San Francisco — was arrested for murder.

The rest are facing charges of assault likely to produce great bodily injury and dissuading a witness to a crime.

• Dominic Guardado, 33, of San Francisco

• David Wiesenhaven, 38, of San Francisco

• Julio Moran, 43, of San Mateo

• Raymond Cunanan, 42, of Pleasant Hill

“I know many wanted answers and updates, and we appreciate your patience,” Chief Chris Hsiung said in a statement.
