The opponents of Measure V in Menlo Park – the ballot initiative if passed would require a vote for rezoning properties in single-family neighborhoods – have been raking in the cash, according to campaign finance documents.
The No on Measure V campaign has brought in $330,953 in contributions since the beginning of August. The largest donors include the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County, former housing commissioner Karen Grove, Menlo Park resident Bob McGrew and the Sobrato family.
The No on V campaign spent $16,500 on polling and $10,000 on consulting from San Francisco firm Cleansweep Campaigns.
Meanwhile, the Yes on V campaign has raised $49,110 since the beginning of the year. Their top donors include Menlo Park resident Annie Hengehold, Menlo Balance leader Nicole Chessari, Reno resident Christine Griffith and Menlo Park resident Victoria Kelly.
Much of the campaign’s money has been spent on legal services from the San Rafael law firm Nielsen Merksamer.
