Second homicide in East Palo Alto in less than a week

East Palo Alto police are investigating the death of a man found with gun shot wounds late Tuesday, the second homicide in that city in less than a week.

Officers responded to a 7:57 p.m. report of shots fired in the 1600 block of Bay Road and found a 33-year-old man with gunshot wounds lying on the ground of an apartment complex parking lot.

Paramedics provided medical care to the man, but he died of his injuries at the scene.

Police are withholding the name of the victim pending notification of his next of kin. The assailant remains at large.

On Christmas Eve, a 22-year-old man was shot and killed while driving in the 900 block of Beech Street in East Palo Alto on Christmas Eve, police said. After he was shot, his vehicle crashed through a fence and then slammed into the front porch of a home in the 900 block of Beech. The victim’s name hasn’t been released. No arrests have been made.

  1. I would give a tidbit of advice to the police. I have been run off the road 2 times,landing hard on the ground on Woodland Creek and on West Bayshore Rd. If the perp is willing to kill with his car he might be willing to kill with a gun. Install some cameras and log the photos.
