A pediatrician at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital was arrested for trying to have an inappropriate relationship with a minor, Redwood City police said Tuesday.
Police arrested Dr. Dylan O’Connor, 33, on the 1800 block of El Camino Real on Friday (Feb. 5) when O’Connor showed up to where he and the teen agreed to meet up, according to police.
Police had received a tip that O’Connor was attempting to meet up with teens with the intent to engage in inappropriate behavior.
He was also allegedly sending inappropriate photos of himself to the teen, according to police. O’Connor was placed on unpaid administrative leave as soon as Stanford heard about O’Connor’s arrest, a statement sent by Julie Greicius, one of Stanford Health’s spokeswomen, who went on to call the charges serious.
O’Connor worked as a clinical instructor at Lucile Packard.
O’Connor was arrested on suspicion of two felonies — sending harmful material to a juvenile and traveling to meet a minor for lewd purposes.
O’Connor has bailed out of jail, and his appearance date in court was not immediately known.
