Burglars took an ATM from the Shell station at 3601 El Camino Real, but the machine was recovered later in a Fremont park, Palo Alto police said.
Sgt. Craig Lee said the machine, valued at $3,000, was stolen on Thursday night. He did not know if that figure included the money in the ATM.
Lee said the ATM was found at Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont. Lee did not know whether money had been removed from the machine. He said police haven’t identified the burglar or burglars.
