A man was robbed on Los Trancos Road in Portola Valley, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said today (April 14).
Just before 3 p.m. Monday, a man was walking near his van on Los Trancos Road near Meadow Creek Court, when a white Ford F-150 with chrome bumpers and a black roof rack pulled up behind him.
Two men wearing dark clothing got out of the truck, brandished a handgun and demanded tools and money from the man, according to Sgt. Sal Zuno.
The man handed over $86 and the men got into the truck and left, going south on Los Trancos Road.
Deputies searched the area, but could not find the men or the truck. Anyone with further information about this crime is asked to call the sheriff’s anonymous tip line at 1-800-547-2700.
