A boy was arrested after allegedly brandish-ing a fake gun behind Los Altos High School, police said.

The incident was reported at 3:56 p.m. on Aug. 22. The boy was arrested and booked into juvenile hall, Los Altos police Sgt. Cameron Shearer said.

The encounter was the latest in a series of skirmishes at the school, which is located at 201 Almond Ave.

Two fights were reported at the school earlier in the summer. One took place at an orientation but wasn’t reported until three or four weeks later, Shearer said.

A second incident was reported after that and may have been “loosely related” to the earlier fight, but police don’t think the brandishing was connected to the other two incidents.
