A Caltrain hit a car at the Alma Street crossing in Palo Alto on Wednesday – the second strike at the location in the past two weeks.
Nobody was in the car at the time of yesterday’s crash around 2 p.m., Caltrain spokesman Dan Lieberman said.
Trains were delayed for over an hour. Another southbound Caltrain hit a black sports car at the same crossing around 6 p.m. on Oct. 15. That driver suffered minor injuries, Palo Alto police Lt. Joel Hornung said at the time.
