You may not know it, but as spring brings warmer weather, it also heralds the beginning of kitten season. It’s adorable, but it’s also when Humane Society Silicon Valley needs to start providing a lot of young kitties with specialized care and attention.
Luckily, there are ways to help. If you love cats, you could sign up to foster kittens while they’re too young for adoption. By offering your time and love, you can socialize and prepare your foster cat or kitten for adoption into a permanent, loving home. If that’s too much of a commitment, however, you can still help supply kitten foster parents with the items they need to help care for the little ones. Join the “baby shower” and get some kitties some needed items. All you have to do is go to www.hssv.org/get-involved/volunteer/foster-an-animal/foster-a-cat.html and click on the kitten baby shower link at the top. You’ll see their Amazon wishlist, where you can help contribute bottles for the newborns, toys, grooming supplies and many other items.
