A motorcyclist has succumbed to his injuries following a crash at the Stanford Shopping Center yesterday, police said.
Police were called to the 100 block of El Camino Real at 4:29 p.m. on report of a crash between a sedan and motorcyclist. Officers responded and found a man in his 20s, had been ejected from his motorcycle, he was taken to the hospital where he later died, police said.
The motorcyclist was traveling south on El Camino Real when a sedan headed north, driven by a woman in her 20s, turned left to go to a business, and the motorcycle collided with the car, police said.
The woman remained at the scene, and police shut down El Camino Real between Sand Hill and Quarry roads for about three hours to investigate the crash.

Tragic lost to see someone else killed by a car driver. The police have lost control and have fallen flat on basic enforcement to provide safe travel for all users of the road. Would like to see police write citations again instead of using “officer discretion” to look the other way.
Look twice for motorcycles
I (unintentionally) drove by the accident site and it looked like the Tesla turned left into oncoming traffic to go into the shopping center. Motorcycle must have been traveling southbound, so by appearances looked like the Tesla was at fault. However motorcycle was badly damaged so might have been a high speed collision. Either way, it’s not the police’s fault. Hopefully there are cameras on that section of road to understand what caused this tragic death.
So many wealthy entitled drivers in this area, who just assume everyone else will get out of their way. This woman needs to spend a few years in prison to get her attitude right.
