A man with a gun forced his way into a home in San Carlos early this morning, demanded money and valuables and then fled on a bicycle, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim reported the robbery in the 1400 block of Greenwood Ave. (between Elm Street and Rosewood Avenue) around 2 a.m.
The victim said the robber was wearing a black face mask, a dark-colored hoodie and light-colored pants. The victim was not injured.
The Sheriff’s Office said deputies quickly responded to the home, searched the neighborhood and collected statements and evidence. They also used a drone and sniff dogs, however, they couldn’t find the robber.
“The Sheriff’s Office is allocating significant resources to investigate this crime and community members can expect enhanced patrols in the area,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
People who live near Greenwood Avenue are asked to review their home security footage recorded after midnight for any video or images of a person riding a bicycle. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation should upload footage to the secure evidence portal at https://sanmateocountyso.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/2600219

You’re telling me he picked this house at random? Did he know the person he robbed? Did the “victim” owe money to the perpetrator? Is the “victim” a drug user? Drug dealer?
Reasonable questions.
Why the heck would you even say that that’s like so rude? I can’t believe it. I mean victims just can’t be victims anymore right because you know people don’t just rob people for no reason you need to think about that.
