Redwood City police are investigating what they say is the “suspicious death” of a man whose body was found in a residential area west of El Camino Real off of Carlos Avenue.
At 11:40 p.m. Saturday, police found the body in the 600 block of Fox Court East, a one-block cul-de-sac of two-story homes and three-story apartment buildings.
When police arrived, they said the 44-year-old man wasn’t breathing. Officers immediately began life-saving efforts, taking over from individuals at the scene, until personnel from the Redwood City Fire Department and paramedics arrived.
“Due to the subject’s age and the uncertainty surrounding the cause of death, investigators are collaborating with the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office to determine the cause,” police said in a statement.
