Charles C. Clark

Mr. Clark was born in 1925 in Fort Worth, Texas where he spent most of his childhood, though he visited in Palo Alto, California frequently, attending Palo Alto High School one year prior to graduating in Fort Worth.

On discharge from WWII in 1946, he finished his education, graduating with a Masters Degree in Public Health Education from University of North Carolina in 1952 and settling in Palo Alto. Working in governmental and voluntary health service agencies in Oregon and California, he retired from the Santa Clara County, CA Health Dept. in 1988 after 26 years there.

Mr, Clark was a member and officer in the First Baptist Church of Palo Alto since 1958. It was there he was married and widowed twice and built his most intimate social circle of friends. He is survived by his son Charles C. Clark, Jr., stepchildren Susan Edginton and Philip Hayes from his first wife Jean Cobb Clark and stepchildren Deborah Macias, Pamala Sawyer, and Judy Beers from his second wife Ruth Sawyer.

Mr. Clark spent his remaining years in retirement as an enthusiastic resident of The Terraces at Los Altos, a senior care facility. A Memorial Service will be held in the Redwood Hall at The Terraces on Sunday, November 17th at 2 pm.
