SamTrans passenger stabbed

SamTrans runs about 70 routes in San Mateo County.

A person was seriously injured yesterday after a stabbing on a SamTrans bus traveling through North Fair Oaks, the sheriff’s office said.

There was an altercation on the bus leading to the stabbing near the intersection of Middlefield Road and 5th Avenue. The man was stabbed multiple times around 7 p.m. and taken to a hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect was arrested within three minutes of police receiving the call. His name was not immediately released as the case was still under investigation when the sheriff’s office.

    How much is San Mateo County going to pay in cash and prizes to the victim and suspect?
    I’m sure the suspect will be released on a citation.

    • We’ll see what happens. Do you think the man will be released without any severe, lasting consequences besides another “felony turned misdemeanor” on his likely long list of crimes? He almost murdered someone.

      Wonder what the ethnic background of the stabbed is. Why withhold information?

      Ban knives.
