Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen’s chief of investigations, Moises Reyes, is retiring after he was accused of making inappropriate comments about blacks, women and transgender people.

Reyes will retire on Dec. 19. He made $236,318 a year ($358,039 with fringe benefits), according to the salary-tracking website Transparent California.

He faced 12 complaints from other employees about inappropriate remarks in the workplace. An investigation by the county’s Equal Opportunity Division concluded five of those claims were more likely than not to be true.
