Woman dies when her car crashes on El Camino

A 22-year-old San Carlos resident died from injuries in a car crash on El Camino Real in Redwood City, police confirmed.

Bianca Gutierrez was driving at the intersection of El Camino Real and Finger Avenue when she hit a parked truck at the intersection, said Redwood City Police Lt. Nick Perna. The crash occurred May 12 at 10:23 p.m.

There were no other drivers or passengers involved in the crash, Perna said. Redwood City Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Gutierrez died at Stanford Hospital the next day due to blunt force injuries, according to the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office.
