Undersheriff says prosecutor misled grand jury in bribes-for-gun permits case

A prosecutor for District Attorney Jeff Rosen misled a grand jury in order to get the top sheriff’s deputy indicted for bribery, according to a lawyer for Under-sheriff Rick Sung.

Sung is asking a Court of Appeals to dismiss the criminal charges against him, which allege that he gave a permit to carry a concealed weapon to businessman Harpeet Chadha in exchange for tickets to a San Jose Sharks game.
