Power is out in northern and eastern Palo Alto because a tree branch fell on a line, the Utilities Department said today (Aug. 5).
The outage was reported just before 4 p.m. and is estimated to end around 7 p.m., the city said.
There are 1,700 homes and businesses that are without power.
The Rincanoda Library closed for the day, the city said.
