Library supporters review tax ideas — pay for expansion or rebuilding

Supporters of the library in Los Altos are trying again to rebuild or expand the Los Altos Library, and they’re considering two different ways of funding the project.

One option is a citizen-led bond measure to bring in around $50 million, and the other is to use property tax money that is already coming in to expand the library for about $15 million. …
