Galen F. Antle

July 8, 1972 – October 22, 2021

Galen was born in Hilo, Hawaii to Bonnie (nee Turkisher) and Kent Antle on July 8, 1972. Galen was raised in California and loved spending summers at his grandfather’s water slide in Manitou Springs Colorado, or at Pine Mountain Lake in California.

He attended Henry M. Gunn High School in Palo Alto, and loved playing Varsity baseball with the Titans team. He graduated from Gunn in 1990; then joined the U.S. Army. He subsequently graduated with Honors as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and served in the National Guard. He trained with Homeland Security and qualified to become a combat Medic. He was a Patriot and a protector.

Galen graduated with a degree in Economics from Syracuse University in 1998. He met his wife, Jessica, at Syracuse. He was an accomplished and driven financial manager in New York City and then in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Galen was brilliant in so many ways. He enjoyed a quick sense of humor and made LOTS of friends wherever he was. He loved biking, the Grateful Dead, schmoozing, dining in fine restaurants (he was a total foodie and a sommelier), the ocean, viewing wildlife, his family and his dog, Roxy.

Galen is survived by Jessica and his beloved children: Sofia, Vivian, Eva, and Graeme; by his parents Bonnie Hale and Kent Antle; his sister Raina Antle; aunts and uncles; and by his many many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on January 29, 2022.
