Update, April 22, 6:40 p.m. — The driver who was killed was identified by the coroner as Miguel Torres, 37, of Hayward.
Original story, April 22, 12:08 a.m. — A man was killed last night (April 21) after he was ejected from his car in a solo-vehicle accident at University Avenue and Bayfront Expressway in Menlo Park, police said.
Police said a preliminary investigation indicates the driver, who was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control of his vehicle just before University meets the expressway, not far from the Dumbarton Bridge.
The vehicle rolled over, ejecting the man. It happened at about 10:28 p.m. on Tuesday.
Firefighters pronounced the man dead.
Menlo Park police are investigating the accident and any witnesses are encouraged to call them at (650) 330-6300.
This is like the second person in as many days to be ejected from their vehicle and killed in Our area. Apparently they we’re “throwed clear” as they colloquially say. Really though, who these days doesn’t wear their seatbelts, duhya?
Times like this people think they can drive fast in because we are quarantine is just senseless
