Redwood City Parade: A parade downtown starting at 10 a.m. Watch for the History Museum’s own entry in the parade featuring gleaming carriages and early automobiles as a preview of our upcoming Taube Carriage House and Automobile Gallery.
Palo Alto is hosting its annual 4th of July Summer Festival and Chili Cook-off today at Mitchell Park from 11 a.m. Enjoy food trucks and beer/margaritas, alongside community chili tasting. Entertainment includes a performance by the band “Good Time Collective.”

Drone Show: No fireworks in Redwood City this year. At 9:30 p.m., look for a drone show over the Port of Redwood City.
Fireworks Show: Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View is hosting a live symphony event at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks. The San Francisco Symphony under the direction of conductor Ted Sperling will perform songs from 1969 such as “Proud Mary,” “Here Comes the Sun,” “Blackbird” and “Purple Haze.” The evening concludes with a grand finale of spectacular fireworks! Tickets are $29-$200.
Salty Licks Live: Head to Capelo’s Barbecue in Redwood City at 5 p.m. for live music with Brian Patrick.
Tierra Cali Concert: Party at Maya Nightclub in Redwood City starting at 9 p.m. with performances by Tierra Cali and Banda Maguey.
