The Heritage Fire & Whiskies of the World Tour is coming to Coyote Point in San Mateo on July 26, where the public can enjoy unlimited tastings, vote on their favorite local dish and watch top culinary masters.

Local chefs will roast whole animals and locally grown vegetables grilled over open flames. People visiting the event can sample drams and pours from renowned international distillers and local craft producers. Chefs will compete to be crowned the local “Heritage Hero” and advance to the national grand finale.

All tickets are all-inclusive, but attendees must be 21 or older with a valid ID.

“The San Francisco Peninsula’s culinary identity is defined by its diversity of flavors, strong agricultural roots and extraordinary talent,” said Maggie Lang, Heritage Fire’s chief sales and marketing officer for the Peninsula. “As we invest in a multi-year effort to tell our destination’s food story, Heritage Fire is a natural fit as it brings our culinary community together in a way that is authentic, experiential and deeply connected to this region.”

The Peninsula is home to more than 50 working farms and fisheries, over 25 Michelin-recognized restaurants and more than 80 global cuisines.

“Events like Heritage Fire help bring our culinary initiative to life by creating meaningful connections between visitors, chefs and locals,” Lang added. “It’s an opportunity to experience the Peninsula’s food culture not just by tasting it, but by understanding the people and traditions behind it.”

“Coyote Point has long been one of San Mateo County’s most treasured outdoor spaces, with its sweeping bayside views and natural beauty making it the perfect backdrop for an event that celebrates community and connection,” said Nick Calderon, deputy county executive and former county parks director. “Hosting Heritage Fire here reflects exactly the spirit our parks were designed for — bringing people together to enjoy this incredible setting while celebrating the food, culture and traditions that make the Peninsula so special.”
