Dr. Gordon R. Cohen, passed away on January 7, 2026 at the age of 91. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joan Cohen, his children Joshua Cohen, Rachel Valeske, Amy Driver, their spouses, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gordon had a wonderful sense of humor, which he shared with everyone he met and passed on to his offspring. Gordon was a child psychiatrist in San Jose for more than 40 years, a member of Kol Emeth Synagogue and an avid Stanford Women’s Basketball fan.
A memorial service was held at Hills of Eternity in Colma, at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 11. In memory of Gordon, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
