A 53-year-old man died June 25 after crashing his pickup truck into a tree on San Antonio Road in Palo Alto, police said.
Killed was Amado Cortez Peralta of Mountain View.
The crash happened just before midnight on Wednesday near the intersection of Alma Street, police said.
A witness reported seeing the truck swerving across multiple lanes of traffic before leaving westbound San Antonio Road, police said.
Firefighters extricated Peralta from the truck and took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The solo crash is under investigation, and it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor, police said.
