A fire burned a building and an acre of hillside land today (June 11) along Page Mill Road in Los Altos Hills, firefighters said.
The fire was reported at 3:31 p.m. at the end of Roble Blanco Court, threatening homes estimated to be worth more than $4 million.
Firefighters from Santa Clara County and the city of Palo Alto knocked the fire down by 4:03 p.m. after one building was destroyed away form the main house.
Crews stayed on the scene for several hours to mop up the burned vegetation while sheriff’s deputies did traffic control, the county said. The fire caused for a portion of Page Mill Road to be closed for about an hour, according to updates from Palo Alto Police.
