A man with a gun tried to rob two men crossing a street in Palo Alto, police said today (April 2).
The attempted robbery was reported on Monday around 11:30 p.m. on Midtown Court, behind the Midtown Shopping Center.
A man wearing a black mask approached two men in their 20s who had just exited a car. The masked man was holding a handgun and demanded the two men empty their pockets, and the two men fearfully fled on foot, police said.
Police are actively investigating the case. The victims described the suspect as a man in his 20s standing about 5-feet-9, weighing about 170 pounds and wearing all black.
Good to know that police are “actively investigating the case.” Guess that’s better than police are inactively investigating.
Once again Palo Alto as an easy and inviting crime target b/c of weak deterrence. Will City Council ever prioritize police + fire over their pet projects and virtue signaling?
