Jeanne Lussier Kirkland

June 26, 1926 – February 10, 2025

Jeanne Lussier Kirkland died on February 10, 2025, at the age of 98. Born in Oakland, California, on June 26, 1926, to Earl and Marrilla Lussier, Jeanne was the fourth of five extraordinary Lussier girls. Her family settled in Belmont, where she (and her sisters) attended Notre Dame High School, then Dominican College. She married Scott Freeman Ennis Jr. in 1947 just after his return from WWII. Jeanne entered into her second marriage when she and Alfred Dell Kirkland wed in 1959.

Ever the independent spirit, Jeanne loved entertaining the many friends she made over a 50-year career in real estate. Jeanne enjoyed traveling and lived in a variety of locations, but Menlo Park was always home.

She is survived by four children from her first marriage—Scott Ennis III, David Ennis, Colleen Ennis Shoneveld, and James Ennis Kirkland—and a daughter, Kelly Kirkland, from her second marriage. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Yvonne Lussier Robb, nine grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
