Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who entered an apartment early Saturday morning in Palo Alto while the resident was asleep.
On Saturday (July 27) at about 9:50 a.m., police received a report of a burglary that had occurred overnight at an apartment on the 800 block of University Avenue.
The investigation revealed that the victim, a woman in her 30s, awoke to find her bathroom window had been opened and items in her bedroom and bathroom disturbed sometime since she had gone to sleep around midnight, according to police. Overnight, the victim’s roommate had also been at home and asleep in another room. No suspect was seen or heard. At this time, it does not appear anything was stolen from the apartment, police said.
Officers reviewed security camera footage, which depicted a man approaching the victim’s apartment at approximately 2 a.m. He appears to be a light skinned male adult, with a medium build, wearing a dark colored hooded jacket, light colored pants, and dark colored sneakers.

A burglar that doesn’t steal anything. He disguised himself well. He didn’t wake anyone up so it’s probably not his first rodeo.
