Georgia Thiemann of Redwood City, aged 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Georgia was loving and kind, and always expressed her appreciation for family and friends. She was the devoted wife of her husband Fred for their 58 years of marriage.
Georgia earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from UC Davis. She became involved in the tech industry during its infancy in the 1960s, working for Lockheed and United Technology Center, eventually transitioning to tax preparation where she became an expert in handling estates and trusts.
Georgia had a strong love for her family and was a protective and caring mother. She and Fred also found time for extensive international travel with close friends. She particularly enjoyed vacations in Hawaii where she swam, snorkeled, boogie-boarded and dined with her extended family.
Georgia is survived by her husband Fred, children Fred and Lori, sisters Ann and Kathleen, sister-in-law Barbara, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
