Suzanne was born in Paris, France on July 17th, 1919 to Pierre and Marie Landon. She was one of nine siblings. Her childhood was filled with joyful memories of going to Pallot and spending holidays in Thiers. She excelled in school and earned a law degree, which led to her working for a law firm. At a party, she met John who was in the Army, stationed in France during World War II. They were a perfect match, and married. They lived in France, Ohio, and the East Coast. Ultimately, they found their forever home in Redwood City.

John was employed by Lockheed Martin as a CPA. Suzanne earned a teaching credential from Notre Dame. She worked for the Portola Valley School District as a French Teacher at Corte Madera and The Portola Valley School. She was especially proud of being a teacher and felt rewarded when her students thrived. They had two children, Philip and Carole.

Upon retiring, she enjoyed traveling. She and Jack Schipper had a wonderful friendship, and they eventually married. She cherished: family and friends, community volunteer work, St. Matthias Church and volunteering there, playing tennis, playing bridge, gardening and birds, cooking, daily walks, traveling, visiting her relatives and friends in France, and going to Lake Tahoe.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, godmother, and loyal friend. She is survived by her sister, Claude; son, Philip; granddaughter, Cody; and Jack’s daughters, Meg, Cathy, Jackie, and Mary, as well as numerous relatives in Europe and the United States.
