In loving memory…
Marguerite Pitt was born in Elmira, New York. She was the only child of Marion and Merton Pitt. Marg spent her childhood in Elmira. She graduated from Charles Wilson Hospital School of Nursing and started her career in nursing.
Marg traveled to New York and worked as a Psychiatric Nurse at Payne Whitney Hospital for six years.
Marg loved New York’s museums, theatres, food and tempo!
Marg continued to seek new opportunities. She moved to Palo Alto, CA with her dear friend Ruth. Marg worked at the V.A. Hospital where she retired as a head nurse.
Marg cherished her lifelong friends and was known for her compassion, care, and humor!
During her career she received a Bachelor of Science from San Jose State and a Masters of Science at UCSF.
Marg loved her home, dogs, her garden, to travel, parades, activities with friends and she enjoyed her genealogy pursuits.
Marg had a hearty laugh and was fun to be with!
She will be missed by her dear friend, Betsy.
A life well lived. Thanks to all who added to her life, especially Frank & Judy.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Charles Church, followed by a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Menlo Park, CA.
