Margaret Polglase Tormey passed away peacefully in
her sleep on February 25, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born in San Francisco on April 27, 1931, to James Harry and Margaret Polglase, joining older brother Harry. She attended UC Berkeley, where she met her husband Jack. Margaret loved to travel, and as a couple they spent much of their time together seeing the world. Having both grown up in the Bay Area, Margaret and Jack settled in Palo Alto, where they could remain close to their respective families and raise their two daughters. Margaret was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She is survived by her husband of 62 years and her daughters, Kathleen Tormey Foesch and Maureen Tormey Taylor, their husbands, Robert Foesch and Bruce Taylor; grandchildren, Megan and Jack Foesch. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered, admired, and loved.
