Khuu Dermatology is celebrating its 8-year anniversary this month, and Dr. Duke Khuu credits the practice’s success to building trusting doctor-patient relationships that lead to better treatment outcomes.
Over the past eight years, the practice has expanded from his Mountain View office at 889 Castro St. to also include a location in San Jose.
“Growing our practice is great, but retaining our clients by providing excellent care is our biggest priority,” said Dr. Khuu.
A board-certified dermatologist who earned his medical degree from Stanford, Dr. Khuu is an excellent diagnostician who can diagnose complex skin issues and provide effective treatments for patients in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. In addition to his arsenal of topical and oral prescriptions, he also employs top-of-the-line lasers and photochemotherapy units for more complicated skin conditions. Khuu Dermatology also has specialist Dr. Alexander Stein on hand to provide Mohs surgeries for complex skin cancer removal and reconstruction.
Patients of all ages can also come to Khuu Dermatology for treatment of inflamed skin, infected skin and skin cancers.
Dr. Khuu is also passionate about the cosmetic aspect of dermatology and he brings a keen aesthetic sense to his work that helps tailor his treatments to each client’s individual look and needs.
“For me, it’s about the relationship I build with patients,” he said.
Khuu Dermatology offers a vast array of cosmetic services, including laser hair removal, laser treatments, skin rejuvenation, chemical peels and microdermabrasion, dermal fillers like Radiesse and Juvederm and injectables like Botox and Xeomin.
The diversity of his office staff reflects that of the Bay Area. To better serve the needs of all Silicon Valley residents, their office staff includes speakers of English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish and Vietnamese.
Khuu Dermatology knows that it’s not always convenient for patients to access the care they need, but they are committed to making it as easy as possible at their office.
To that end, they offer appointments on Saturdays so that patients don’t necessarily have to take off work, and so that parents can bring their kids without worrying about them missing school. They also take a late lunch break so that they can make appointments available during the normal noon to 1 p.m. lunch hour on weekdays.
Current and new patients can make appointments any time online at www.khuudermatology.com. You can also call the office at (650) 969-5488.
