A man with a gun went into Mariscos seafood restaurant at 2627 El Camino Real in unincorporated Redwood City and robbed the place early this morning, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

The robber is described as a man in dark clothing with a black mask covering his face.

The sheriff said he got an undisclosed amount of cash.

He left on foot going south on El Camino at about 12:24 a.m.

Deputies searched the area but couldn’t find him. A person answering the phone at the restaurant yesterday declined to comment about the robbery.
