Mountain View police are looking for a man who attacked his ex-girlfriend this morning (Sept. 20), subsequently injuring her and their 15-month-old child.
Around 10 a.m., Mountain View patrol officers responded to reports of a domestic violence incident that had just occurred on the 700 block of N. Shoreline Boulevard.
Police said they were told by the victim that her ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old Korey Paige, came to her home and began an argument, and at some point he pulled her outside while she was holding their child.
As Paige pulled the victim through the front door, and despite the mother’s efforts to keep the baby safe, their child’s face hit the door frame, causing the child to suffer visible facial injuries, police said. Paige then hit the child’s mother several times in the arm and leg, police said.
When the mother tried to call someone for help, Paige grabbed her cell phone and threw it against a wall, according to police.
Paige then left in an unknown direction of travel.
He is described as about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark colored sweatpants and a black New York Yankees baseball cap. He does not have a fixed city of residence.
Police urge anyone who has seen Paige to call 911.
